About Losang Jinpa, D.Ayur, PhD

Rev. Losang Jinpa studied Ayurveda with Dr. Vasant Lad of the Ayurvedic Institute from 1996 to 2002. Losang completed 1800 hours of study with Dr. Lad and saw 1900+ patients with him during a six year long apprenticeship. He has seen more than 7000 patients in his 20 year career in Ayurveda. Now a lay Buddhist minister using his lay Dharma name (Dorjay Zopa or Vajra Kshanti), Dorjay was first ordained in the Nalanda tradition of H.H. the Dalai Lama (HH Jetsun Jamphal Ngawang Losang Yeshe Tenzin Gyatso HH Dalai Lama) by Ven. Losang Jamphal of the FPMT's Nalanda Monastery. From 1997 to 2011 studied under the daily mentorship of Da Xin De Ben Shr of the American Jen Chen Buddhism lineage of Shen Khai Shr Fu. I can say from the bottom of my heart that Da Xin De Ben Shr is my Anitya Dharma Pala Kaliyana Mitra and best friend. Dorjay's additional Buddhist influences came from Choden Rinpoche, Da Sheng Shr, Da Share Shr, Da Xin Fa Shr, Dagri Rinpoche, Nyingma Penor Rinpoche, Bakula Rinpoche, Thubten Lama Zopa Rinpoche, H.H. Sakya Trizin and his son Ratna Vajra Rinpoche, H.E. Gosok Rinpoche (Thumi Sambota - Longchen Rapjampa Dzogchen - Rigzen Lhungsel Nyimgpo), Tripitaka Charya Hsuan Hua Sheng Ren Shi, Kirti Tsenshab Rinpoche, Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche, Khensur Losang Tsephel Rinpoche, Geshe Ngawang Dakpa, Geshe Losang Jamphal, Geshe Losang Tengye, Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche, Kalachakra Khensur Jhado Tulku Rinpoche, Chogyal Namkhai Norbu,Geshe Lama Kongchog (Tulku Tenzin Phuntsok), Yangthang Tulku Rinpoche (Rinchen Terdzod), Ajahn Chah, Ajahn Sumedho, Geshe Jampa Tegchok, Geshe Lhundub Sopa, Geshe Jampa Gyatso, Garchen Triptrul Rinpoche, and Thich Nhat Hanh.
